What Sask Wrestling and WCL require for you to coach and assist with training.
Sask Wrestling Provincal Competitions– Minimum Requirements to coach all ages
- Be a registered member of Sask Wrestling of current fiscal year Sept 1 to Aug 31
- Background Screening- Vulnerable Sector Check – Volunteer Letter available from the office
- Sterling Background Screening can be completed in the membership registration process for $25.00 or you can add your document from a local police agency.
- Must be completed every three years
- Respect in Sport Training- Free CLICK HERE
- Member in good standing of Sask Wrestling for the current year of event.
- Sask Wrestling is STRONGLY encourage the NCCP Community Coach Course
- Date for next Community Coach Course is Sept 27, 2025 in Regina

WCL National Competitions: U15 – U 17 age
- Same points as Provincial Requirements
- NCCP Competition Introduction- Certified
- Date for next Competition Introduction is Sept 20, 2025 in Saskatoon
- REGISTER HERE and for more information on course
- NCCP Comp Intro- Trained status could be eligible for an exemption approved by WCL
WCL National and International Competitions: U19 age+
- Same as Provincial Requirements
- Crimial Record Checks done yearly
- NCCP Competition Development- Certified
