Hi Wrestlers, Coaches and Families,

Welcome to the Pre-Age Group Nationals High Performance Camp and congratulations on being an accepted athlete. We are excited about the opportunity for our Sask Wrestlers to train, learn and prepare together in Regina and Saskatoon this weekend.

Please see the schedule below and note that athletes will be there for the entire day as lunch will be provided in Regina and nutritious “game day” fuel will be shared as part of the Sport Science Nutrition workshop in between sessions in Saskatoon.

In order to have the right mindset coming in, be aware that this camp is designed as a training/HP preparation camp. Accordingly, there will be a substantial amount of scrimmage, position wrestling and situation wrestling. We will not be spending a lot of time on showing technique unless there’s specific needs for a majority of the group. Instead, we will rely on the coaches present to individualize their feedback to athletes in order to make necessary adjustments to enhance individual performance or style.

The camp fee is listed below. The best method of payment is by e-transfer to info@saskwrestling.ca  Please ensure that you put the athletes name in the notes. Angela will also be at the camp to take fees there if you are unable to e-transfer.

Saturday April 11 – Regina Sport Performance Center – 1464 Broadway Ave

                                                   10:30 a.m. – 1 :00 p.m. – matches

                                                     1:00 – 1:30 – lunch

                                                     1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. – Sport Psychology – tournament preparation/positive self talk

                                                     2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Technical training

Sunday April 12 – U of S Education Bldg. – Huskie Wrestling room – Saskatoon

                                                     11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – matches

                                                       2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Sport Science – pre-competition “game day” nutrition

                                                       3:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – Technical training

Cost – no cost for athletes on Sask Wrestling Next Gen lists. 

Invited non-Next Gen athletes – $60.00 (or $40 for one day). Note – athletes must be attending age group Nationals.
