Hey Wrestling PTSO's,
We are excited to invite you to share about GirlsCAN Wrestle 2026, taking place January 1–2, 2026 at the University of Calgary Red Gym. This camp has previously run under the Wrestle Like a Girl brand, and we are proud to announce its evolution into GirlsCAN — a new Canadian brand celebrating and growing opportunities for girls and women in wrestling across the country.
A poster is attached for ease of sharing and reference *registration links are in the body of this email.
There is a guy's camp as well ( same registration form below) and two age class tournaments on Jan 3-4 ( I believe Carol has sent out that information already).
Athlete Camp ($100)
- 4 hours per day of on-mat training
- Daily seminar sessions
- Open to female wrestlers (U17, U20, U23)
Coaching Camp ($75)
- Subject-specific coach training
- On-mat application
- Female coaches group & males coaching girls group
- NCCP PD points available
Featuring:
- Carol Huynh – Olympic Gold & Bronze Medalist, 4x World Medalist
- Leah Ferguson – Olympian, 2x Pan American Championship Medalist
- Braxton Stone-Papadopoulos – Pan Am Games Champion, U23 World Medalist

January 18, 2026Sask Wrestling will be hosting the Competition Introduction-Technical/Tactical Course-
DATE: Saturday January 18th, 2026
SASK FACILITATORS: Ron Gonzales and one more facilitator TBD
NCCP Competition Introduction
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST- click here

*Coaches must attend Both IN CLASS AND IN GYM sessions
**Please wear appropriate training clothing and shoes to Gym Session.
Location: TBD
Times: Theory portion 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (2.5 hours)
Location: TBD
-Lunch at the office will be provided and we go to the location to do the practicum session.
-Times: Practicum portion: 12:30 to 5:30 pm. (4.5 to 5 hours)
-Location: TBD
COST: $225 PER PERSON includes lunch on Saturday
Registration Link will be sent out to you once Expression of Interest is submitted
Documents will then be sent out to you via email before event.
Required to have all three NCCP courses prior to attending this course.
